1. 1) Proper selection of wire cross-sectional area
The cross-sectional area of the wiring used for electrical equipment in a vehicle is selected based on the magnitude of the load current. For electrical equipment operating continuously, 60% of the wire’s rated current‑carrying capacity may be used; for equipment operating intermittently, 60% to 100% of the wire’s rated current‑carrying capacity may be employed.
2) Selection of Wire Color Codes
To facilitate identification and maintenance, the wires in the wiring harness are color-coded.
For ease of annotation in circuit diagrams, wire colors are denoted by letters, with the corresponding color codes provided in the notes for each schematic.
